Rhian Ramos addresses weight loss, opens up about heartbreak

Rhian Ramos addressed body shamers who commented on her weight loss, saying it came after a particularly stressful period that included a breakup.

Rhian was previously with Israeli businessman Amit Borsok.

In a September 24 vlog, the actress said that in the middle of moving to a new condo, she and her boyfriend broke up.

“It was so hard. I had a really hard time, guys. And not just ’cause I was brokenhearted and shattered, but other things in my life were giving me a lot of stress,” she said.

Rhian explained that she moved to a new place so she could start working again without the risk of exposing her mom to the coronavirus. The stress of that and going through a breakup made her lose her appetite.

“I was in so much pain and so much stress. I couldn’t get out of my bed, I wasn’t eating right. I couldn’t eat. Nothing tasted like anything…. I was under so much stress that my body basically started eating itself,” she said.

“Now everyone thinks that I did this to myself on purpose. I really didn’t. I was just having a really hard time.”

Rhian said this is the first time she was able to process her feelings without distractions.

“Yes, I’ve seen a mirror. Yes, I’ve lost a lot of weight, and to those of you who share your concern, yes, I appreciate it, I am gonna be okay in my own time. It’s just important that I process these things for myself now, so I don’t take them with me in the future,” she said.

She shared that she’s doing what she can to take care of herself, doing Bible studies twice a week, eating 3 meals a day, and sleeping consistently for at least 5 or 6 hours a night.

Rhian also left a message to those who commented “just to tell me how ugly and disgusting I am,” giving them the middle finger.

“Shame on you guys,” she said.
