LOOK: Rufa Mae Quinto graces cover of US-based magazine

Rufa Mae Quinto graces the cover of United States-based ShowBiz Magazine for its special issue for May 2021. 

On Wednesday, May 12, ShowBiz Magazine revealed their cover, which features Rufa Mae in a red gown. “The Resurgence of Rufa Mae Quinto,” it says on the cover. 

“She is synonymous with excellence. Her very presence commands attention and when she puts her heart into something, she does it with passion and zeal and of course with lots of laughter,” the lifestyle magazine wrote in the caption. 

Aside from reposting the cover, the comedienne-actress also shared a snippet from the magazine. “My @showbizmagazine cover is out now! Go go grab a copy! Mabuhay ang Pilipinas at mga Pilipino! Todo na Hollywood, here we come, (God Bless the Philippines and the Filipinos. This is it, Hollywood, here we come!” she wrote. 

Rufa Mae first announced that she landed an international magazine cover stint on May 3. “Pasabog for the week,” she captioned snaps from a nude photoshoot. 

“I had the pleasure of shooting with one of San Francisco’s Top Photographers @vinniegotti for an upcoming magazine cover in Showbiz Hollywood @showbizmagazine. All Oscars celebrities kasabay ko na. Walang imposible. Abangan ninyong lahat at todo con, todo na ‘to! Go go go,” she said. (I’m with Oscars celebrities. It’s not impossible. Wait for it, this is it! Go go go!)

Rufa Mae admitted that she’s still in disbelief that she got this opportunity. “Di ko maka-explain sa asawa ko na nasa Hollywood cover magazine na ako, kasi ‘di ako makapaniwala into in Hollywood magazine with the best of the best. Natawa ako habang sinasabi ko sa asawa ko na Hollywood nga ito. Salamat sa lahat ng miss ko mag-pose ng ganito. So proud to be a Filipino! Hindi ito joke,” she shared. 

(I can’t explain to my husband how I landed a Hollywood cover magazine because even myself, I still can’t believe that I’m in a magazine with the best of the best. I’m still laughing when I told my husband that this is really Hollywood. Thank you to everyone who allowed me to pose like this. So proud to be a Filipino. This is not a joke). 

Los Angeles-based fashion and editorial photographer Vincent Gotti reposted Rufa Mae’s announcement. “A little teaser of what’s coming up for her first magazine cover in the US. The gorgeous and very funny comedienne [and] actress from Manila,” he wrote. 

Rufa Mae is currently residing in the USA with husband Trevor Magallanes and their daughter Alexandria Athena. – Rappler.com
