Veteran actor Orestes Ojeda has died at 68.

His daughter, Lois Nicole Pagalilauan, posted a tribute to Ojeda on her Facebook page on July 28, saying “This breaks my heart but I find comfort knowing that you are no longer in pain.”

According to ABS-CBN, Ojeda died on Tuesday, July 27, in a hospital in Taguig after battling a rare form of pancreatic cancer.

Pagalilauan remembered her father as someone who had “the most genuine and kindest heart.”

“You are so loved by many, daddy. I am lucky to be your daughter,” she said.

Ojeda, whose real name was Luis Pagalilauan, joined showbiz at 17 years old and would go on to appear in various movies and TV shows including Joey Gosiengfiao’s Ang Boyfriend Kong Baduy, Ishmael Bernal’s Manila by Night, and Chito Roño’s Dekada ’70.

He is perhaps best remembered for his turn as a security guard whose wife has an affair with a younger man in the erotic film Scorpio Nights, directed by Peque Gallaga.
