Singer Ray An Fuentes’ wife Mei-Ling loses battle to COVID-19

Singer Ray An Fuentes confirmed that his wife Mei-Ling died on Sunday, December 27 after they both tested positive for COVID-19 early this month.

“My Sweetie has gone home! For good,” Ray An announced on his Facebook account Monday, December 28 Manila time.

“We finally just had to release her to the Lord because the other possible reality is brain damage. We didn’t want her to suffer anymore. I am sooo heartbroken. This is sooo painful,” Ray An wrote.

Ray An, who is based in Canada with his family, thanked those who sent their prayers for their recovery.

“Many many thanks to EVERYONE for your earnest and steadfast intercession. We are truly grateful!” he said, adding that their children were with their mom before she died.

In November, Ray An confirmed that aside from him and his wife, his children also tested positive for COVID-19. All of his kids have since recovered.

Ray An has since recovered from COVID-19 and was giving updates about the status of his family.

Ray An is known for singing the song “Umagang Kay Ganda” alongside Tillie Moreno. – Rappler.com
