In a phone interview with Rappler a few days before the event, the 10-year-old said that singing the national anthem during the SONA would be a challenge, but one she was proud to take on.
"Sobrang happy po ako and proud, and at the same time din po, nervous din ako kasi malaking event din po 'yun at kakanta din po ako sa harap ng President (I'm so happy and proud, and at the same time, I'm also nervous because it's a big event and I'm going to sing in front of the President)," she said.
