What Heart Evangelista has to say about those 'Chiz for Waze' jokes

MANILA, Philippines – Actress Heart Evangelista defended husband Senator Francis "Chiz" Escudero amid the jokes and criticism regarding his style of speaking at the vice presidential debates last Sunday, April 10.  (READ: Chiz Escudero's VP debate performance was 'safe' – analyst)

On Instagram, Heart posted what she though about one of the memes cropping up about her husband. (READ: 'Suntukan sa UST,' Chiz for Waze, and other funny VP debate posts)

"Because it's a non-issue, wala sa tono ng salita. Nasa gawa! (It's not in the tone. It's about how you do the job)," she wrote, adding the hashtags #SayChiz and #chizwaze.

At Sunday's debate, some social media users expressed their thoughts about Chiz's style of speaking, saying his voice was very robotic and seemed stiff or rehearsed. Some also commented that Chiz's voice would be nice to use in the mobile app Waze, which has different voices pointing you in the right direction, should you choose to activate that feature.
