Jodi Sta Maria, 'Bridges of Love' receive International Emmy nominations

MANILA, Philippines – Jodi Sta Maria and Bridges of Love are the Philippines' two bets in the 2016 International Emmy Awards.

Jodi Sta Maria was nominated in the category Best Performance by an Actress for her performance in the drama Pangako Sa 'Yo, which also starred the popular love team Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo.

Jodi is up against Judi Dench (UK), Grazi Massafera (Brazil), and Christiane Paul (Germany).

Meanwhile, Bridges of Love, which starred Jericho Rosales, Paulo Avelino, and Maja Salvador, was nominated in the Telenovela category.

It's up against 30 Vies (Canada), A Regra do Jogo (Brazil), and Verdades Secretas (Brazil).

The International Emmy Awards nominees were released on Monday, September 26, with 40 nominees across 10 categories. The winners will be announced on November 21 at the Hilton New York Hotel.

Among the other countries that the nominations are from are South Korea, the US, South Africa, and Sweden.

Aside from the winners, special awards will also be handed out on November 21.

Shonda Rhimes, creator of Grey's Anatomy, Scandal, and How To Get Away With Murder, will receive the International Emmy Founders Award.

Maria Rørbye Rønn, the Chief Executive Officer and Director General of Danish Broadcasting Corporation, will receive the International Emmy Directorate Award.
