MANILA, Philippines – The Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences Awards (FAMAS) announced the nominees for the 2015 FAMAS awards.
Now on on its 63rd year, Pep reported that this year's FAMAS awards will have the theme "Throwback Glam Day … A Look Back At Six Glorious Decades of Philippine Cinema." With this theme, 6 actresses – Susan Roces, Gloria Romero, Nora Aunor, Maricel Soriano, Dawn Zulueta, and Sarah Geronimo will be hailed as "Iconic Movie Queens of Philippine Cinema."
Actor Coco Martin is set to receive the Fernando Poe Jr. award. Coco stars in the TV version of the late actor's movie Ang Probinsyano this month.
The FAMAS awards will be held on September 20 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater.
