[WATCH] Rappler Live Jam: ‘For the Love of Leyte’ featuring the Itchyworms

The Itchyworms gives us a sneak peek into the two-day benefit arts and music festival in Leyte they are headlining

MANILA, Philippines – Five years after Super Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) ravaged Eastern Visayas, particularly the province of Leyte, the difficult and unglamorous process of recovery has a long way to go.

It’s not an easy task – even as infrastructure and homes are still being built and rebuilt, it’s the trauma from the super typhoon and its aftermath that many still continue to live with.

It’s precisely this strength that “For the Love of Leyte,” a non-profit, benefit arts and music festival wants to celebrate. The two-day festival will be held at The Farm at Ginsiyaman, San Miguel, Leyte, on November 30 and December 1. It will feature not just top musical talents from here and abroad – it’s also a chance for local artisants to show off their skills.

All proceeds of the festival will be channeled to the rebuilding of the Leyte arts, culture, and tourism sector.

Itchyworms, one of the headliners for the festival, drops by Rappler HQ for another fun and entertaining night that’ll serve as a sneak peek into the two-day festival.

They will also talk about why music and the arts matter in a community that continues to heal.

Here’s their Live Jam set list:
