On our next home jam, we hear from this alternative pop band

MANILA, Philippines – The vowels they orbit is performing on Rappler Live Jam!

Nikka, Hannah, Jeremy, Gene, and Patch first came together as students at the University of Sto. Tomas, and formed a band after bonding over several jamming sessions in Cavite.

They then started out by playing small venues and open mic nights, and eventually got their break after catching the attention of Soupstar Entertainment’s Darwin Hernandez, brother of 6cyclemind guitarist Herbert Hernandez.

From there, they started playing bigger gigs, and opening for bands like Autotelic, Gracenote, December Avenue, and appearing as a guest act for American pop-rock act Against the Current during their Philippine show.

The band is set to release their 5-track debut EP soon, which includes the carrier single “Selos,” as well as other gig favorites such as “Kiliti, and “Pasa.”
