Felicity Kyle Napuli, Daniel Drilon, and Juliene Mendoza are coming to Rappler HQ on Tuesday, August 27, to perform songs from their play, Dani Girl: A Musical About Hope.
Set in Pittsburgh in 1991, the play follows 9-year-old Dani Lyons (Felicity), a cancer warrior who goes on a whimsical journey to find her hair and answer the question “why is cancer?” along with her fellow warrior and best friend, Marty (Daniel), and her imaginary friend and “guardian angel” Raphe (Juliene).
The play also touches on the story of Dani’s mother, Katharine (Shiela Valederrama-Martinez), who clings to religion as she continues to be haunted by the aftermath of a disastrous marriage.
Tune in as the cast of Dani Girl performs songs from The Sandbox Collective’s production of the uplifting play by Michael Kooman and Christopher Dimond. Bookmark this page or head over to fb.com/rapplerdotcom. – Rappler.com
