Matteo Guidicelli addresses Sarah Geronimo pregnancy rumors

MANILA, Philippines – A lot of rumors are surrounding Matteo Guidicelli's girlfriend, Sarah Geronimo, and concerns about her health after she cancelled some shows. Observers have speculated that the pop singer is pregnant, but Matteo Guidicelli has strongly denied this.

In a report on Bandila that was taped on the set of Matteo's television series, Dolce Amore, Matteo spoke up about some of these rumors that surround Sarah.

"I heard that na nabuntis siya (she got pregnant) and all that stuff," he said with a shrug.

When asked about his reaction to this, he replied, "Wala. Wala naman tayo reaction. 'Di naman totoo. (None. No reaction at all. It's not true at all.)"

"Some people are just making up stories and stuff, but you know, it's a 100% guarantee that it's not true. Sarah's okay."

He also said that even if the rumor that she's pregnant is true, he wouldn't hide it. PEP quoted him to say: "Siyempre, paano naman itatago, e, kahit nga mag-mall kami, hindi namin naitatago? So, paano pa pag nabuntis, 'di ba?"

(How would I hide it – when we go to the mall, we're easily seen? So how can we hide it if she's really pregnant?)

He also assured that Sarah does not have a "serious illness," and added that the singer herself told him this.

"Wala lang (It's nothing). She didn't feel well. That's why she had to postpone some stuff. She's fine," he said.

Matteo also said, as separately quoted by PEP: "Sarah is okay and we’re both busy with our work. She's happy where she is and, you know, she’' been working her whole life. So, I think she deserves a break and deserves to be happy also."

In a report from ABS-CBN News published last June 9, Sarah also spoke about these health concerns; however, she did not share any details.

"Okay naman [ako ngayon]. Hindi naman po siya malalang sakit. Hindi na lang po ako magbibigay ng details pero inaayos naman po," she said.

(I'm doing okay right now. It's not a serious illness. I just can't give any details, but I'm addressing this.)

"Kailangan lang i-improve yung health. Kailangan lang bigyan ng atensyon kung bakit nahihirapan sa ganito, or sa ganyan."

(I just need to improve my health. I just need to give attention to what's causing me difficulties here and there.)

Her manager and Viva Entertainment chairman also denied that Sarah is pregnant, but confirmed that Sarah is taking a vacation for 2 months, as reported by PEP.

"Magkakaroon lang ng bakasyon. This month ofJuly hanggang sa August, magbabakasyon lang… Baka po may out of the country rin. Pahinga lang," Sarah told ABS-CBN News.

Sarah Geronimo was previously set to perform at the 2016 MTV Music Evolution on June 24, Friday, and cited "medical reasons" for pulling out of the live music event. – Rappler.com
