Watch the stunning first trailer for Disney's live-action 'Jungle Book'
MANILA, Philippines – This is the Jungle Book quite unlike any version you've seen before. Disney has just released the first teaser for the live-action adaptation. Fans will remember the 1967 animated classic, based on Rudyard Kipling's novel, which told the story of the young bow Mowgli, raised by wolves.
The voice cast of the new film includes Lupita Nyong'o as the protective mother wolf Raksha, Christopher Walken as King Louie, Ben Kingsley as the panther Bagheera, Idris Elba as the tiger Shere Khan, Bill Murray as Baloo the bear, and Scarlett Johansson as the slinky, devious python Kaa. Newcomer Neel Sethi plays Mowgli.
"Let go of your fear now. And trust – in me," a cruel Kaa quietly tells Mowgli, as we're treated to stunning visuals of the lush jungle setting.
The Jungle Book hits theaters in the Philippines April 16. What do you think of the trailer? Let us know in the comments below. – Rappler.com
