[WATCH] ‘Bridget Jones’s Baby’ trailer: Bridget is back and pregnant

MANILA, Philippines – The last time we saw Britain’s beloved erstwhile spinster Bridget Jones in The Edge of Reason (2004), it appeared that she was finally getting her happy ending. Apparently, she’s no longer with Mark Darcy (Colin Firth) now, but uh-oh… she’s pregnant!

Renée Zellweger debuted the trailer for the upcoming sequel, Bridget Jones’s Baby, on The Ellen Degeneres Show on Wednesday, March 23. 

“Still, not to dwell on the negatives – many positives to note. I’m absolutely loving my new life!” Bridget says in the trailer. 

Bridget is (still) rocking as a television producer, keeping fit in the gym, flirting with Ed Sheeran, and “maintaining a good relationship with the ex.” She even has a Cinderella moment with a new flame, Jack Qwant (Patrick Dempsey), as she trips in her heels in the muddy Glastonbury Festival.

Now, she has one “tiny development” that is sure to rock her life: there’s a baby on board, and she doesn’t know who the father is! 

“There’s at least a 50% chance” that it’s Mark or Jack, says Bridget to her mother, Pamela (Gemma Jones), who is flabbergasted: “Did you have a three-way!?”
