MANILA, Philippines – From Christopher Nolan, the filmmaker who captivated audiences with movies like The Dark Knight trilogy, Inception, and Interstellar, comes a new historical picture, Dunkirk.
The World War II movie is said to retell the events of Operation Dynamo, also known as the “miracle” of Dunkirk, where around 300,000 Allied soldiers were evacuated from the beaches of Dunkirk, France as they were surrounded by Nazi troops.
“At the point of crisis, at the point of annihilation, survival is victory,” the taut but tense teaser declares, as hundreds of soldiers crowded together dreadfully look to the skies while an air raid seems to come upon them.
Dunkirk stars Tom Hardy, Oscar winner Mark Rylance, newcomer Fionn Whitehead, and One Direction member Harry Styles in his first film role.
A full trailer is reportedly screening before Suicide Squad, with Dunkirk set for release on July 19, 2017. – Rappler.com
