MANILA, Philippines – Get ready John Green fans, because Paper Towns is coming to a theater near you.

Before the hotly anticipated film adaptation of The Fault in Our Stars hit cinemas, Fox 2000 announced that they recently acquired the rights to John Green’s Paper Towns.

This isn’t the first time that Paper Towns got the go signal for a movie version. According to a report by Variety, Mandate Pictures and production company Mr. Mudd earmarked the book back in 2008. But according to Deadline, they dropped the project due to “creative differences”.

Author John Green broke the happy news on Twitter.

The same team that is bringing The Fault in Our Stars to the cinemas will also be working on Paper Towns. According to the same Deadline article, “Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber are going to adapt, and Temple Hill’s Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen are producing. The scribes will be exec producers along with Green.”

The full cast has yet to be released, but it’s already been confirmed that Nat Wolff will play the role of Quentin, the story’s protagonist. Wolff is an actor-singer who is also appearing in the upcoming film adaptation of The Fault in Our Stars, also by John Green, and in Palo Alto. He tweeted his excitement over his involvement in the project, saying:

Paper Towns is set in Orlando, Florida and follows a young man named Quentin who shares a difficult experience with his neighbor Margo when they find a man who committed suicide. They later grow apart, until Margo shows up one day in Quentin’s room clad in a ninja outfit, and asks for help to get revenge against people who have hurt her. She vanishes without a trace the next day but he starts to receive clues from her, clues that he has to follow if he wants to find Margo.
