
MANILA, Philippines – It was a star-studded evening Saturday, October 25 as family and friends attended the Manila premiere of actress Anne Curtis’ movie Blood Ransom, at the Resorts World’s Performing Arts Theater.
Present in the event were Anne’s friends Solenn Heussaff and Belle Daza, with their respective partners Adrien Semblat and Nico Bolzico, Anne’s father James Curtis-Smith, sister Jasmine and teen heartthrob James Reid.
Anne’s friends from It’s Showtime also attended the premiere night with their respective dates. Vhong Navarro was there, and Billy Crawford and Coleen Garcia were also in attendance. Anne’s boyfriend Erwan Heussaff also took time to support her in the movie, but ducked photographers.
Anne’s co-star Alexander Dreymon also attended along with the director Francis dela Torre.

In an interview with reporters before the premiere, Anne said she was nervous .
“Ang lamig! (So cold!) Super cold,” she said referring to her hands. ” It’s finally happening! Sobrang kinakabahan (I’m so nervous). Pero sobrang ( But I am ) excited at the same time to see how it all turned out.”
The movie was shot in 2012 and was scheduled to be shown in 2013, but the release date was delayed. (READ: Anne Curtis international movie ‘Blood Ransom’ to be shown in Manila)
The trailer for the movie was shown last May.
Produced by Tectonic Films, Blood Ransom centers around Crystal (Anne) a mysterous woman, taken by Jeremiah (Alexander) who refuses to return her to her boyfriend Roman. They soon fall for each other, as Roman’s men chase after them.
Distributed by Viva Films, Blood Ransom will be shown in Philippine cinemas on October 29 and will be shown in the US on October 31. – Rappler.com
