In the trailer, Cinderella told a stag to escape after hearing the sound of horses galloping – implying a hunting party. She continued her ride into the woods and was stopped by Prince Kit, who explained to her that they were hunting. While Cinderella chided him for the act, their first encounter got them both in a lovesick daze, wondering if they will see each other again.
Also, the trailer revealed a conspiracy between Lady Tremaine and the Prince’s father, and their plans to stop Cinderella and the Prince from their happily ever after.

In the trailer, Ella (Lily James) found herself having a new stepmother (Cate Blanchett) and two stepsisters after her father remarried after her mother’s death. But when he dies, Ella found herself becoming a servant for her new family, who rename her Cinderella. Despite her situation, Ella is determined to honor her mother’s words and to “have courage and be kind.” She meets a young man Kit (Richard Madden) while riding in the woods – of course, he’s the prince.
When the kingdom gives a ball, Ella is hopeful of going until she is forbidden and locked away. But like all good fairytales, help is ready, when her fairy godmother appears – in the form of a cheeky Helena Bonham Carter.
This is our first real glimpse at more footage from the movie, as the first teaser focused mostly on the famous glass slipper.
