‘#Alive’ to premiere on Netflix on September 8
The zombie thriller stars Yoo Ah-in and Park Shin-hye

Upcoming zombie thriller #Alive is set to premiere on Netflix on September 8, following a theatrical run in Korea.

The film is set in modern day Seoul, ravaged by an outbreak of a mysterious virus that causes victims to eat each other, turning them into zombies.

It follows neighbors Oh Jun-u (Yoo Ah-in), and Kim Yu-bin (Park Shin-hye) as they fight to survive while trapped in an apartment complex surrounded by those infected with the virus. Stuck in their homes without access to the internet, phone calls, or text messages, their only source of information about the outside world is the TV news and what they can see from outside their windows.

The two survive in different ways – Jun u makes use of technology to get by, while Yu-bin uses various camping tools and telescopes. With their different skill sets, the pair work together to stay alive.

Yoo Ah-in is known for his roles in movies and dramas including Veteran, Chicago Typewriter, and Six Flying Dragons. Meanwhile, Park Shin-hye has appeared in You Are Beautiful, Pinocchio, and Memories of the Alhambra.

#Alive is based on an original script by Matt Naylor and directed by Il Cho. – Rappler.com
