Sony Pictures dropped its second official trailer for the upcoming Don’t Breathe sequel on Thursday, August 5.
Unlike the first trailer, the new trailer features more gore and gives viewers a closer look at the sinister capabilities of lead character and blind war veteran Norman Nordstrom, played by Avatar’s Stephen Lang. The trailer comes with an “R” rating, meaning viewers under 17 must have an accompanying parent or adult guardian.
Set a couple of years after the horrifying events of the first film, Don’t Breathe 2 follows Norman, who is trying to escape his dark past to have a normal life with his 11-year-old daughter Phoenix (Madelyn Grace).
However, things take a turn for the worse when a new group of skilled home invaders enter his house to go after Phoenix. Norman is forced to unleash his gruesome and ruthless side once again.
Don’t Breathe 2 also stars Brendan Sexton III (Black Hawk Down), Rocci Williams (Angel has Fallen), Bobby Schofield (Cherry), and Stephanie Arcila (Here and Now) among others.
The upcoming movie is directed by Rodo Sayagues who also served as a co-writer, alongside Fede Alvarez. Both worked on the first film.
Don’t Breathe is set to premiere in US theaters on Friday, August 13. – with reports from Angelica Burlaza/Rappler.com
