MANILA, Philippines – Singer-actress Rachel Alejandro has landed a role in US murder mystery film Sinister Cover-Up. 

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, the actress disclosed that she’s playing an attorney in the movie. 

“It’s going to be a three-day shoot for me, because it’s not a main role, but I’ll be in several sequences as a defense lawyer,” she said. 

According to Dawns Light Media, Sinister Cover-Up follows Brianna as she teams up with journalist Landon to uncover the truth about her father’s murder. It stars Christie Leverette, Nicole Danielle Watts, Jim Ballard, and Ryan Youngwoong Kim. 

A release date for Sinister Cover-Up has yet to be announced.

Rachel also shared the movie’s poster on her Instagram, alongside behind-the-scenes photos from the movie’s filming. “So excited to see it and hoping it’s one day available on a platform that you guys back home in the [Philippines] can watch it, too,” she said. 

Aside from a gig in Sinister Cover-Up, Rachel also recently starred in a US television commercial.

“My first TV commercial in the US is out. These are some of my [favorite] moments from the 30-sec ad,” she said. 

Rachel has also been performing in several music shows across the US. Her latest project in the Philippines was ABS-CBN’s The Broken Marriage Vow. Rappler.com
