Remastered ‘Kokey,’ ‘Magic Temple’ to stream via Sagip Pelikula Festival

ABS-CBN Film Restoration is premiering digitally restored and remastered versions of seven ‘90s children classic movies via the Sagip Pelikula Festival. 

The line-up includes Sarah… Ang Munting Prinsesa (1995), Ang TV Movie: The Adarna Adventure (1996), Ang Pulubi at ang Prinsesa (1996), Cedie (1996), Magic Temple (1996), Kokey (1997) and Hiling (1998). 

They will be available for streaming from May 25 to June 12, 2021 on KTX.ph. Priced at P100 to P150 each, tickets include a 24-hour access of the movie starting from the viewers’ chosen schedule. 

Ang TV Movie: The Adarna Adventure

Ang TV Movie: The Adarna Adventure is about a group of youngsters who are transported in the Kingdom of Berbanya. As they recall the story told by their Lola Binyang, the group of kids help the King’s three sons – Prinsipe Diego, Prinsipe Pedro and Prinsipe Juan – in finding the mythical bird called Adarna to save their kingdom. 

Ang Pulubi at ang Prinsesa

Streaming date: May 25 – June 11

Cast: Camille Prats, Angelica Panganiban, Romnick Sarmenta, Sharmaine Arnaiz, Teresa Loyzaga, Eula Valdez

Ang Pulubi at ang Prinsesa follows the friendship of Nikka (Camille Prats), a homeless child searching for her mother, and Rosalie (Angelica Panganiban), a rich and spoiled child. 

Cedie

Streaming date: May 28 – June 12

Cast: Tom Taus Jr., Ronaldo Valdez, Jaclyn Jose, Mark Gil, Anita Linda, Carlo Aquino

Cedie  follows a prince (Tom Taus Jr.) whose father is disowned by an Earl in England after he married a commoner. When his father dies in the United States, his mother enters an agreement with Cedie’s grandfather, the Earl, to prepare Cedie for the earldom. 

Magic Temple

Cast: Jason Salcedo,  Marc Solis, Junell Navarro Hernando, Jun Urbano, Anna Larrucea, Jackie Lou Blanco,, Gina Pareño

Magic Temple follows the quest of three protégés – Jubal (Jason Salcedo), Sambag (Junell Hernando), and Omar (Marc Solis) as they try to restore the balance of Samadhi after it’s destabilized by the evil and powerful being Ravenal (Jackie Lou Blanco). 

Sarah… Ang Munting Prinsesa

Cast: Camille Prats, Angelica Panganiban, Mat Ranillo III, Jean Garcia, Jaime Fabregas, Rio Locsin 

Sarah… Ang Munting Prinsesa follows the story of Sarah (Camille Prats), a young kid who is sent off to boarding school by her father who works abroad. Initially treated like a princess, she is forced to live like a slave by Miss Minchin (Jean Garcia) after Sarah’s father unexpectedly dies. 

Kokey

Streaming date: May 29 – June 12

Cast: Carlo Aquino, Ani Pearl Alonzo, Ricky Davao, Cherry Pie Picache, Paquito Diaz, Nova Villa

Kokey is about a friendly alien named Kokey who comes from the planet Yekok. When his spaceship crashes on Earth, he is rescued by Bong (Carlo Aquino). Bong and his friends then help Kokey return to his planet before Kokey’s enemy, Korokoy, finds him. 

Hiling

Streaming date: June 5 – June 11

Cast: Serena Dalrymple, Shaina Magdayao, Camille Prats, Gina Pareño, Nida blanca, Tirso Cruz III, Cherry Pie Picache, Paolo Contis, Carlo Aquino 

Hiling follows Anna (Camille Prats), who is given powers to grant wishes by Manang Garcia (Gina Pareño). Her ability changes the lives of her friends but causes problems in their neighborhood. –Rappler.com
