Remastered ‘Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo’ to premiere in July

A digitally restored and remastered version of the 2006 romantic-drama Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo is set to premiere via KTX.ph on July 15. 

Directed by Jose Javier Reyes based on Mary Ann Bautista’s screenplay, Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo was real-life celebrity couple Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo’s first movie together. 

Tickets cost P150 each.

Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo follows the story of newlyweds Angie and Jed, whose relationship was put into test when both of their families keep on meddling with their decisions about their marriage. The constant dispute leads Jed to seek the company of another woman while Angie was pregnant. 

Ryan took to Instagram on Tuesday, July 6 to share how excited he is about the news. “Oh hello there mid-20s Judy Ann and Ryan. So it seems we’re old enough to have our movies restored and remastered,” he wrote. 

Judy Ann replied, “Restoration levels na tayo bub (We’re at the restoration levels now, bub)!” 

Gina Pareño, Gloria Diaz, Ariel Ureta, Soliman Cruz, Derek Ramsay and Tuesday Vargas are also part of the cast. The sequel Sakal, Sakali, Saklolo was released in 2007.

Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo is part of ABS-CBN Film Restoration’s project to digitally restore and remaster classic Filipino movies. Other films rescued in the project includes Paano Kita Iibigin, Milan, Tanging Yaman and Magic Temple. – Rappler.com
