[WATCH] Rappler Live Jam: The Strange Creatures

MANILA, Philippines – The Strange Creatures is performing on Rappler Live Jam!

The dream-pop band is made up of Jon Tamayo on guitar and vocals, Megumi Acorda on keyboard and vocals, Tobit Rubio and Tan Evangelista on guitars, Bam Butalid on bass, and Ryan Rillorta on drums. 

The band played their first gig in 2013 and since then, they’ve released their debut EP Stargazer, performed in various shows, including Wanderland in 2015, and are currently recording an album for 2018.

‘Stargazer’ 

The Strange Creatures performs “Stargazer,” which vocalist and songwriter Jon Tamayo says is his attempt at a “cosmic love song.” The song is the band’s first ever single. 

‘Palipad Hangin’ 

The Strange Creatures performs “Palipad Hangin,” a song about whispering your feelings for someone to the wind. The song was released on Spotify early this year, and will be part of their upcoming album, Phantasms. 

‘Azure Sky’

The Strange Creatures performs “Azure Sky,” a song based on a recurring dream of vocalist and songwriter Jon Tamayo, where he continues to fall into an endless pit until he wakes up. The song will be part of the band’s upcoming album, Phantasms. 

‘Dreamy Eyes’ 

The Strange Creatures performs “Dreamy Eyes,” a song off their upcoming album Phantasms about longing and getting lost in a lover’s eyes.
