MANILA, Philippines – Renee Olstead arrived in Manila, Tuesday night, August 27, for a special dinner show on August 30 at the Fairmont Hotel in Makati.
This is the actress-singer’s second visit to the Philippines. She performed here for the first time with trumpeter Chris Botti in 2012.
The 24-year-old Olstead began her acting career as a child. Among her television and screen appearances are the sitcom “Still Standing” and the teen drama “The Secret Life of the American Teenager,” as well as “13 Going on 30,” “The Insider,” “End of Days,” and “Space Cowboys.”
Olstead has also built her career as a versatile singer, going deeper into jazz. She has 3 albums to her credit and appearances in festivals abroad.
She is something of an old soul with her fascination for swing and the music of Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan. But Olstead, a native of Texas, has also sang country and pop. – Rappler.com
