The group sings about saving the world, being turtles, and pizza in this TMNT-inspired video

MANILA, Philippines – Pentatonix is back with a new video inspired by the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) movie.

Though you don’t see any actual turtles, you do see Scott, Mitch, Kirstie, Kevin, and Avi rock it out with their signature harmonies and sharp timing. There’s an urban feel to the video, produced by MTV, and lots of nods to the movie’s elements – including graffiti of pizza on the wall!

At the end of the video, the gang can be seen tying the iconic bands around their heads and running off to the streets – just like the turtles.

Aside from the music video, MTV also showed a behind-the-scenes video showing footage from the video shoot.

The upcoming film will be a blast from the past for many viewers, who grew up watching the iconic cartoon in the late ‘80s and during the ‘90s. The story follows the four titular turles Raphael, Leonardo, Michelangelo, and Donatello as they save the world, while living in the sewers with their mentor, the wise Splinter.

TMNT opens in Manila on August 13. – Rappler.com
