Ariana Grande is the newest coach for The Voice Season 21, the pop star announced on Tuesday, March 30.
“Surprise! I am beyond thrilled, honored, excited to be joining @kellyclarkson, @johnlegend, @blakeshelton next season - season 21 of @nbcthevoice! @nickjonas we will miss you,” the “positions” singer wrote on her Instagram account.
Ariana’s fellow coaches were quick to react to the announcement. John Legend wrote: “So excited to welcome Ariana to our Voice family!”
“Next season we are bringing y’all some powerful female energy,” Kelly Clarkson said while quoting Ariana’s tweet.
Ariana will be replacing Nick Jonas, who coached for seasons 18 and 20. “You’re going to kill it next season! Welcome to the family,” Nick said, quote tweeting Ariana.
“I have been a huge fan of the show for such a long time. I can’t wait to go head-to-head with the incredible coaches, get to know these new artists and help to take their craft to the next level,” Ariana said, according to Billboard.
