WATCH: Ben&Ben releases Korean version of ‘Leaves’

Ben&Ben has released another version of their 2017 hit song “Leaves,” this time in the Korean language.

Posted on Sunday, June 20, it is the first time for a Ben&Ben original song to be translated into another language. The Korean translation was done by Sandra Jung. 

The Korean version of “Leaves” comes after Ben&Ben’s collaboration with Korean artist Young K, the bassist, vocalist, and rapper of the group Day6.

“Out of the few songs that I listened to, “Leaves” caught my ear the most. The message given through the lyrics and the entire vibe was very heartwarming,” Young K said. 

Ben&Ben added that they released a new version of “Leaves” because the song’s theme is timely with the hardships we are currently facing. “In these times, the message that ‘all will be alright in time’ is more relevant than ever, all over the world,” they wrote.

Prior to releasing the Korean version of “Leaves,” Ben&Ben has already performed several Korean songs. In September 2020, the folk-pop band covered several K-pop songs from groups BTS, Seventeen, EXO, GOT7, IU, Red Velvet, TWICE, and Day6. 

Ben&Ben is currently gearing up for their sophomore album. In May 2021, they released their digital singles “Upuan” and “Magpahinga.” – Rappler.com
