Ben&Ben is Spotify's most-streamed artist in PH for 2020

Ben&Ben topped Spotify Philippines' 2020 round up, emerging as the most-streamed artist on the music platform's yearly Wrapped ranking.

The band released several tracks in 2020 – including their latest single "Di Ka Sayang" released in November, as well as "Nakikinig Ka Ba Sa Akin" and "Lifetime," a song inspired by a fan's heartbreak story, in June.

Following Ben&Ben as the Philippines' most-streamed artist is K-pop trailblazers BTS, who recently released their latest album BE containing chart-topping gamechanger "Life Goes On" and their first full-English track "Dynamite."

Taylor Swift, who dropped surprise album Folklore in July, came in as the third most-streamed artist in the country, followed by Justin Bieber, whose fifth studio album Changes was released in February.

Rounding out the Top 5 is K-pop girl group BLACKPINK, who released their much-awaited first full-length debut The Album in October, following viral singles "How You Like That" and "Ice Cream."

Ben&Ben likewise topped the list for most-streamed local artists, followed by Moira dela Torre, Matthaios, December Avenue, and Parokya ni Edgar.

Topping the list of most-streamed albums in the Philippines is Lauv's ~how i'm feeling~, followed by The Album, Ben&Ben's Limasawa Street, Map of the Soul: 7 by BTS and Changes.

As for the Philippines' most-streamed songs, "Imahe" by Magnush Haven came up on top, followed by "Intentions" by Justin Bieber ft. Quavo, "Make It With You" by Ben&Ben, "Beautiful Scars" by Maximillian, and "Someone You Loved" by Lewis Capaldi.

Inka Magnaye emerged as the top local podcaster, with Sleeping Pill with Inka ranking as the highest-streamed in the Philippines. This was followed by Adulting with Joyce Pring, Boiling Waters PH, Stories After Dark, and TED Talks Daily. – Rappler.com
