2021 has been a good year for both BGYO and BINI, but it’s about to get better, as they are set to headline their first sibling concert “One Dream” on November 6 and 7.

“It’s a culmination of our talents at nang mga pinagdaanan namin this 2021 (and everything we’ve been through this 2021). We started as a group and since patapos na rin ang taon (the year is about to end), we’ll end this year with a bang,” BINI Aiah said during the press conference on Tuesday, October 26.

BGYO’s Gelo added that having a sibling concert as their first major event together means a lot for both P-pop groups. “Sobrang saya namin. Talagang nakakaproud ang isa’t-isa kasi matagal na namin ‘tong pinangarap eh. At finally, isang milestone na naman ang maabot naming magkasama kasi sabay-sabay kami nagsimula,” he said.

(We’re really happy. We feel so proud of each other because we’ve been dreaming about this for so long. And finally, we’re reaching another milestone together.)

Since BGYO’s debut in January and BINI’s in July, both groups have been active in releasing singles, gearing up for their full albums, and preparing for the concert, among other activities. In October, BINI released their debut album Born To Win.

“This concert is really big for us,” Aiah continued. “It comes with a lot of big preparations. Kailangan naming i-ready ‘yung sarili namin (We had to prepare ourselves) not just mentally but also physically.

BGYO’s Akira said that they really wanted to deliver a satisfying performance during the concert, which is why they’re really doing their best even in rehearsals. BINI Stacey added, “Grabe ‘yung binibigay na effort namin kasi iniisip namin na this is our first concert kaya dapat maging worth it talaga siya (We’re really exerting our best effort because this is our first concert and we want this to be worth it).”

The two-day concert event will feature different performances on each day. BGYO and BINI also teased fans that aside from their group stages, they’ll also be collaborating with guest performers KZ Tandingan, AC Bonifacio, and Kritiko.

Dito niyo makikita ‘yung songs sa album na hindi pa namin nare-release ever at ‘yung mga fan favorites (Fans can finally see the performances for the songs we haven’t released yet, and of course, we’ll perform the fan favorites, too),” BINI Joanna said.

After their “One Dream: The BGYO & BINI concert,” they said that they’re also set to perform on international stages. Further details about their upcoming activities have yet to be announced but both P-pop groups said that they’re happy and excited to share these milestones together.

Hindi naman po maiiwasan ang comparison pero ang mahalaga po kasi (There’s really nothing much we can do about comparisons but what matters more) is we support each other, keep improving together, and celebrate other people’s successes,” Joanna said. – Rappler.com
