P-pop group BGYO made it to Billboard’s Next Big Sound chart, debuting at no. 2 for the week of May 15.

Their label Star Music tweeted the news on May 11, sharing a screenshot of the group’s ranking on the chart, which ranks the fastest-rising artists on social media and streaming platforms. BGYO ranked behind Canadian DJ REZZ.

BGYO is made up of Akira, Gelo, Mikki, JL, and Nate. They made their debut in January, with their single “The Light.”

Since then, the group released a second track, “He’s Into Her,” and are gearing up to release a third, a collaboration with KZ Tandingan.

Fellow P-pop groups Alamat and SB19 also previously landed on the Next Big Sound chart, along with other OPM acts The Juans and Morissette Amon. –
