BLACKPINK is world’s biggest music act –Bloomberg ranking

BLACKPINK is the world’s biggest music act, according to Bloomberg’s Pop Star Power Ranking, which came out on November 10.

The ranking takes into account 3-month live gross ticket sales, 30 day ticket sales, album sales, Spotify streams, YouTube views, and Instagram interactions.

Bloomberg noted that BLACKPINK has generated 1 billion views on their YouTube account in October alone, and is the second most popular artist on Spotify. The Album, BLACKPINK’s first full-length album, was released on October 2, alongside “Lovesick Girls,” the third single off the album.

BLACKPINK were followed on the list by Pop Smoke, Cardi B, Justin Bieber, Juice WRLD, Drake, Ariana Grande, Maluma, DaBaby, and fellow Korean stars BTS, who rounded out the top 10.

BLACKPINK is made up of members Jennie, Rosé, Lisa, and Jisoo. They debuted – or launched – in 2016 and in 2020 released the songs “Lovesick Girls,” “How You Like That” and “Ice Cream,” which featured American artist Selena Gomez, all from The Album. They were also featured artists in “Sour Candy,” a single off Lady Gaga’s album Chromatica.
