BTS members V and Jimin are spreading the holiday cheer with the release of their new Christmas singles, “Snow Flower” and “Christmas Love,” respectively.
V dropped the slow, romantic pop track “Snow Flower” on Christmas eve, December 24. Featuring co-producer Peakboy’s vocals, the song talks about how “Christmas without you would just not be Christmas at all, bright mistletoe up above us, it’s just you and me.”
In a loosely translated BTS blog, V said that he made the song in a hurry, to help alleviate the anxiety and depression of ARMY this year, as he “feels sorry” for them. “For today, I hope that white flowers will come down to your hearts and feel a little warm comfort and happiness,” he wrote.
On Wednesday, December 23, Jimin dropped the upbeat pop track “Christmas Love,” an ode to the giddiness and happiness of Christmas. It is produced by Slow Rabbit and fellow BTS member RM.
“This song is a scene where my favorite snow falls out of my childhood memories,” Jimin wrote on the BTS blog. He said that he wanted to “go back to that time,” since growing up makes us mature and lets us “hide our emotions a little.”
“But I still think we have those feelings. So it’s childish at least once, but how about expressing that feeling?” he added.
BTS earlier came out with a holiday remix of their chart-topping single “Dynamite.” Member Jin also released his latest solo single “Abyss.” – Rappler.com
