Mariah Carey to return to Manila for concert

MANILA, Philippines – Singer Mariah Carey will perform once again in Manila, as part of her  Me. I Am Mariah World Tour.

According to the singer’s website, she will be in the country to sing on October 28 at the Mall of Asia Arena. Tickets for the concert will go on sale on August 14. 

This is the second time the singer will perform in the country, the first in 2003 for her Charmbracelet Tour. 

One of the most popular singers of all time, Mariah rose to fame in 1990 with her album Mariah Carey. This was later followed by other albums such as Emotions (1991), and Music Box (1993).

In 1997, she released  the album Butterfly which was a big hit all over the world. The next album Rainbow (1999) also did well.

In 2001, Mariah’s album Glitter did not perform as well as expected – but following her ordeal, she released the albums Charmbracelet (2002) and The Emancipation of Mimi (2005), which many consider her “comeback album.” This was followed by E=MC² (2008), Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel (2009), and Merry Christmas II You (2010).

In May 2014, Mariah released her new album, Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse.
