Pupil to represent PH at Singapore’s Sundown Festival
'The band is very proud to represent the Philippines in this year’s Sundown Festival,' says Pupil frontman Ely Buendia

MANILA, Philippines – Popular group Pupil is among the acts set to perform at this year’s Sundown Festival in Singapore.

According to a press release, the group led by frontman Ely Buendia will be among the Asian acts to perform at the annual outdoor music event to be held at the Marina Promenade on November 22.

Known for their guitar-driven body of work, Pupil “has one foot in the past, [another] in the present, and both eyes dead set on the future,” said singer-guitarist-songwriter Ely Buendia.

“The band is very proud to represent the Philippines in this year’s Sundown Festival.”

Other performers in the festival include Taiwan’s Chang Chen Yue, also known as A-Yue, together with Kanika Kapoor, an Indian Punjabi singer known for her song, “Baby Doll,” and girl group S.O.S. from Indonesia.

Samantha Chan, founder of Sundown Festival and Red Spade Entertainment said they hope with Pupil’s performance, more Filipinos in Singapore will come to the music festival.

“The addition of Pupil in this year’s line up will hopefully attract the Filipino community in Singapore, and we’re excited to map the next milestone,” she said.
