IN PHOTOS: Boyzone performs for Manila crowd, remembers Stephen Gately
'When the four of us are together, we feel he’s in the room. He’s on this stage tonight,' says Ronan Keating of former bandmate Stephen, who died in 2009

MANILA, Philippines – It was like we were back in the ’90s. From the Backstreet Boys’ triumphant return to Manila to Irish boyband Boyzone’s May 26 show, these concerts prove that fans haven’t forgotten their favorite groups from yesteryear, and that they’ve retained their charm over the years.

Ronan Keating, Mikey Graham, Shane Lynch and Keith Duffy gave their Filipino fans the performance they’ve waited for more than 18 years since their last visit in 1997. (READ: Boyzone arrives in Manila for 2015 concert)

The boys also performed new tracks from their latest album  Dublin to Detroit, which Ronan said was “personal project” for them, paying tribute to the Motown classics.

They didn’t hold back from those greatest hits and covers: “Baby Can I Hold You,”  “I Love the Way You Love Me,” “Words,” and “You Needed Me.”

“When the 4 of us are together, we feel he’s in the room. He’s on this stage tonight. Thank you for allowing us to come back and do this,” Ronan said.

“You’ve been so supportive in terms of the pictures, the Instagram, the tweets…back in the ’90s when Stephen was here…so thank you for giving it all back to us. It means so much, all the support, and we love him as much as you do,” Shane Lynch shared.

They also performed “No Matter What,” with one of their backup singers with phones lighting up the venue.
