Independent hip-hop artist dred. released a new song as he raises funds for his 80-year-old grandmother Nenen, who is battling dementia.
The song, “Abaniko,” was released on YouTube on November 17.
In the touching track, the artist remembers how his grandmoter took care of him when he was younger, and promises to do the same for her as she lives with dementia – which is characterized by a decline in memory and cognitive abilities.
Included in the video are donation details for those who want to help with Nenen’s daily needs and home repairs.
Dred. is the solo project of Symoun Dred Durias, the frontman of pop-punk band End Street and a sound engineer at music production house Tower of Doom. – Rappler.com
