Earl Generao is hosting a dance party, and everyone's invited – and no, you don't even have to leave your room.
The singer-songwriter released the music video for this song "Sumayaw (Sa Kanya-kanyang kwarto)" on Thursday, November 19, and it features a bunch of other familiar faces all dancing together from their own rooms.
The song blends hints of funk with Earl's signature acoustic style – the perfect tune to bust a move to, and Earl himself invites listeners to do that as he sings "Sama-sama tayong sumayaw/ na parang magkasama tayo (let's all dance/ as if we were together)"
All at once, the video captures the loneliness of quarantine, and the way people find ways to come together while staying apart.
It starts off with Earl in his own room, dancing along to his song as other artists join him from their homes.
Some of the artists and personalities featured include Frizzle Anne, Glaiza de Castro, Kean Cipriano, Janine Teñoso, Coeli, Dora Dorado, VJ Samm Alvero, Leanne & Naara, and Zsaris.
The song is one of Earl's latest releases, along with his single "Magkano Kaluluwa?", a collaboration with Pappel, released on November 1. – Rappler.com
