The singer and rapper was the first ENHYPEN member to experience symptoms

Jake, the first member of ENHYPEN to test positive for COVID-19, has recovered.

The singer and rapper shared the news on WeVerse on Wednesday, September 8.

“I recovered safely and was discharged!” he wrote in Korean. He added that the five other members who tested positive “are doing well” and will likely leave isolation soon.

Jake was among the six ENHYPEN members to catch the virus, after the group came into contact with a confirmed case on a production site on August 26.

Jake tested positive for COVID-19 on August 30 after experiencing symptoms such as cough and fever. 

Later on, Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, and Sunghoon started showing symptoms and tested positive. Ni-Ki was the last member to test positive, after showing symptoms on September 3.

Of the seven-member group, only Sunoo remains negative for the virus. 

As of September 8, South Korea counts 265,423 total COVID-19 cases, after 2,050 new cases were confirmed. – Rappler.com
