Former Urbandub vocalist Gabby Alipe debuts as solo artist

MANILA, Philippines – A little over a year after Urbandub decided to part ways, the band's former vocalist Gabby Alipe has released his first solo single.

The song "Visions" is also the first single to be released from his upcoming solo EP, A New Strain, which is set to come out in October.

Speaking about "Visions," Gabby said in a press release: "That no matter what struggles you may face, as long as you have a clear vision of your goals that a person has to work hard in achieving that goal, no matter the hindrance or road blocks."

"That a person has potential and can achieve anything in life as long as they believe in themselves and not let fear have control over them. That everything will fall into place, all in good time."

On Instagram, he shared, "Everyone has a vision. A vision to better themselves, their family and their country. Everyone should work hard towards their personal goals for positive change."

Everyone has a vision. A vision to better themselves, their family and their country. Everyone should work hard towards their personal goals for positive change. Everyday is a struggle especially in the times we live in today, with all the uncertainty and division. Remind ourselves to stay focused and push forward no matter the circumstance and the road blocks that come our way. Take them all in stride, move them one at a time. Urbandub announced that it would go on hiatus in April 2015 to rest and to spend more time with their families. They broke into the Philippine music scene in the early 2000s, with hits like "Soul Searching" and "First of Summer" winning the hearts of fans.

"Visions" was premiered on the radio on September 22 and is now available for download and streaming on Spinnr, Apple Music, Spotify and Deezer. – Rappler.com
