‘Gameboys’ to release season 1 soundtrack

Fans of Gameboys can now have the kilig on loop as the hit BL show releases its official soundtrack from its first season.

The soundtrack will be available on April 30 on various streaming platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music. It will include tracks such as “Isang Laro,” “Panalo Ka,” and “Ikaw at Ako,” from the show’s first season, as well as previously unreleased songs.

Gameboys first premiered in May 2020, and stars Elijah Canlas and Kokoy de Santos as Cai and Gav, two gamers who develop a friendship and eventually fall in love online. It was written by Ash M, Malanum, and directed by Ivan Andrew Payawal, and was among the first BL shows released in the Philippines during the pandemic. 

The series has since become a favorite among BL fans, and has spawned a spin-off, Pearl Next Door, which is centered on the character of Pearl (Adrianna So), Gav’s best friend in the original series.

Gameboys is set to return for a second season, though a release date has yet to be announced. – Rappler.com
