Seven members of K-pop girl group Lovelyz have decided not to renew their contract with Woollim Entertainment. 

According to a Soompi report on Monday, November 1, Woollim Entertainment released a statement saying that members Yoo Ji-ae, Seo Ji-soo, Lee Mi-joo, Kei, Jin, Ryu Seu-jeong, and Jung Ye-in are leaving the agency to “prepare for a new chapter in their lives.”

The group’s contract will expire on November 16. Baby Soul is the only remaining member of Lovelyz who renewed her contract with the agency. 

“As an artist for Woollim Entertainment for the past seven years, we would like to thank the eight members of Lovelyz for shining and doing their best, and we sincerely support the members’ new chapters. Also, we would like to express our sincerest gratitude to all of the fans who support, cared for, and loved Lovelyz,” they added. 

Following the announcement, the Lovelyz members penned handwritten letters to thank fans for their unwavering support over their seven-year career.

It remains unclear what the plans of the other members are, or whether they will continue with group activities in the future.
