Dadee Joon is bringing his music to Rappler Live Jam!

Dadee, also known as Jun Murillo, made his mark on the music industry when he penned “Sa Iyo,” which would become one of Sarah Geronimo’s signature songs.

Apart from that, he also wrote Mark Bautista’s “Baliw,” and Carol Banawa’s “Hanggang sa Muli,” and composed music for full-length Tsinoy musical Kaisa Ka in 2007.

After years of writing songs that would be interpreted by other artists, Dadee is finally striking out on his own and pursuing his love for singing. He released his debut single, “Parang Asianobela” in July – a song inspired by ’80s and ’90s Asian pop, that captures the homesickness and hope for a better life typical of the OFW (overseas Filipino worker) experience.

In this Live Jam episode, listen to Dadee as he talks about his debut single and how it was subconsciously inspired by his OFW father. He also opens up about how he really felt after the success of “Sa Iyo,” and shares his future plans for his music.
