The band releases their first single for 2021

Soul-jazz quartet Conscious & The Goodness sings a love song to the Philippines in their latest single, “Buhay ay Langit,” released on Friday, February 19.

The song, which borrows a line from the Philippine national anthem, is the band’s effort to inspire Filipinos to keep the hope up and the love alive as they deal with the pandemic.

“The Philippines will always be our home, it’s where our heart is. Let this be a battlecry that cheers our fellow Pinoys on to rise up and conquer this pandemic – or whatever challenges that may come – as one country. There’s a light at the end of the tunnel, and heaven awaits,” said Mike.

The song is a collaboration with producer Lustbass and vocalist Pauline Lauron, and sees the band venturing into “exciting new territory” as they evolve from their previous songs, which had a more analog sound.

Conscious & The Goodness is made up of Mike Constantino on vocals, Tedmark Cruz on drums, Yuna Reguerra on bass, and Jesser Sison on keys and synth.
