Rapper Fetty Wap grieves death of 4-year-old daughter

Rapper Fetty Wap paid tribute to his young daughter Lauren Maxwell, who died at the age of four, according to US media.

The Trap Queen performer called Lauren his “mini me” and “twin” in an Instagram post on Wednesday, August 4.

“I love you to the moon and back forever and ever bestfriend,” he added, alongside a photo of Lauren smiling.

Lauren’s mother and model Lisa Pembroke, known as Turquoise Miami, also grieved the loss of her daughter on Instagram in a Sunday, August 1 post.

“This is my amazing, beautiful, funny, vibrant, loving, talented, smart and hardheaded princess mermaid Aquarius,” Wap’s ex-girlfriend wrote, posting a clip of smiling Lauren swimming in a pool.

“If you see this post scrolling by with her, comment or just say to yourself  ‘I love you Lauren’ because they say that souls can feel your love,” she added.

TMZ reported on Thursday, August 5 that Lauren died on June 24 in their Georgia home from a “fatal cardiac arrhythmia due to complications of congenital cardiac anomalies,” according to the death certificate they allegedly obtained.

In an Instagram story hours later, Turquoise publicly condemned TMZ for “stealing her daughter’s death certificate” and announcing Lauren’s cause of death “before anybody was ready.”

“But that is not the full cause of her death, that’s why the autopsy hasn’t come back yet,” Turquoise wrote in all caps.

“This is what y’all people do for fun. Fuck all y’all. Y’all love breaking news so bad but this is my life and it’s me without my daughter not none of y’all,” she added.

“I feel the loneliness every night not none of y’all! Y’all so f–kin Thirsty to report a 4 year old. This is my trauma that is why I posted and moved HOW I FELT COMFORTABLE!”

Fetty Wap, 30, whose real name is Willie Junior Maxwell II, rose to fame after his single “Trap Queen” debuted in 2015. He is the father of six children – Aydin, Zaviera, Khari, Amani, and Zy – from five different women, with Lauren being his fifth. – Rappler.com
