The group’s management says both SB19 and the team behind the show are ‘all in good health’

ShowBT Philippines and Black Star Entertainment, producers of SB19’s upcoming virtual concert, announced Tuesday evening, July 6, that the group will be postponing the concert to a later date.

Back in the Zone, which was supposed to happen on July 18, will instead take place on August 1, at 7:30 pm (Philippine time).

Tickets purchased for July 18 will still be honored for the August 1 date.

In a statement to media, the two producers said they “identified a health risk during the preparations of the online show and decided to postpone it as an extra precaution for the safety of the artists and the entire team.”

“SB19 and the team have been working hard the past couple of weeks to give fans and everyone who showed love to the group a one-of-a-kind online concert experience. But the welfare of our artists and everyone preparing for Back in the Zone remains a top priority,” said Charles Kim, CEO of ShowBT Philippines.

ShowBT Philippines, which also manages SB19, assured fans that the group and the team behind the concert “are all in good health.”

Back in the Zone is SB19’s second virtual concert held during the pandemic.

SB19, which debuted in 2018, is a Korean-trained Filipino boy group composed of Pablo, Stell, Ken, Josh, and Justin. Their rise to fame began in 2019, with the single “Go Up.”

The group released their debut album, Get in the Zone, in 2020. In 2021, they released their first-ever fashion collaboration with Chynna Mamawal and became the first Filipino act to be nominated in the Billboard Music Awards for Top Social Artist. – Rappler.com
