Following the release of several singles, indie pop-rock band the vowels they orbit dropped their first-ever EP ang unang ikot on Friday, July 17.
The 5-track record includes previously released songs “Selos,” “Kiliti,” and “Pasa,” as well as two new tracks, “Kaya Ko,” and “Bumubulong.”
The tracks explore love and all its intricacies – from the painful realities of an abusive relationship, to the excitement of a budding romance.
The band wrote and arranged most of the tracks, except for “Selos,” which was written by Dawin Hernandez, known for the iconic Moonstar88 track “Torete,” among others.
The album is produced by 6cyclemind and Banda ni Kleggy guitarist Rye Sarmiento.
The band the vowels they orbit is made up of Nikka Melchor on vocals, Jeremy Sayas on drums, Hannah dela Cruz on keys, Gene Santiago on guitars, and Patch Javier on bass.
