Katy Perry broke out her 2010 hit “Firework” once again as she performed the song in a stunning finale to the Celebrating America concert for the inauguration of US President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
Clad in an all-white gown with matching cape and gloves, the singer belted out the song as fireworks lit up the Washington Monument in the background and Biden, Harris, and their spouses looked on.
Perry’s performance closed the inauguration special on January 20 (January 21, Philippine time), which also included performances from artists like Bruce Springsteen, Foo Fighters, Justin Timberlake, John Legend, and Demi Lovato.
The concert followed an equally star-studded inauguration that saw Lady Gaga singing “The Star-Spangled Banner,” and Jennifer Lopez and Garth Brooks also performing. – Rappler.com
