Lea Salonga, Bamboo on Sarah G, ‘The Voice Kids PH 2’ Top 4 results
This is the first time that coach Sarah G has no kids in the show's Top 4

MANILA, Philippines – After the finale on August 29, coaches Bamboo Manalac and Lea Salonga voiced out their thoughts on Sarah Geronimo not having any finalists from her team in The Voice Kids PH 2 Top 4 . (READ: FULL RECAP: ‘The Voice Kids PH 2’ Grand finals)

Both coaches said that they felt bad that neither of Sarah’s kids in the Top 6, Kyle Echarri and Zephanie Dimaranan, were voted into the Top 4, but it’s all part of the show.

“I mean it’s – of course you have to feel bad, I mean thats a genuine thing, I felt bad,” said Bamboo. “But then you know I just felt – I guess like Lea would feel, like her kids deserved to be in the 4, I strongly felt my kids deserved to be in the 4.”

Bamboo added after Elha Nympha got into the Top 4, he thought that someone from Sarah’s team would move up too, and that Sassa Dagdag wouldn’t make it. “But you know I’m just happy for my girl Sassa, I think she deserved it. She backed it up consistently from the blind [auditions] up to today,” he said.

Lea also expressed her sympathy for Sarah. “I feel really sad for her, but I’m hoping that it’s a very small setback, and I’m hoping that she comes back in fighting form for the next season,” said Lea.

Lea added that it’s all part of the show and it could just as well be her or Bamboo without a kid in the Top 4 next season. She said, “This is one of those things that’s just part of what the show is, which makes it exciting for everybody watching at home. And for me, if it’s exciting for the people at home, then we’re doing our jobs, that’s it.”

Lea’s finalists in the Top 4 are Reynan Dal-Anay and Esang de Torres.

After two seasons of The Voice of the Philippines and one of The Voice Kids Philippines, this is the first time that coach Sarah does not have a contestant in the Top 4.

In a video posted by her fans last week, Sarah thanked the people who supported her and her team, and asked her fans not to be sad.

The winner of The Voice Kids PH 2 will be revealed on Sunday, August 30. – Rappler.com
