Jericho Rosales on replacing JM De Guzman in 'Walang Forever' movie
MANILA, Philippines – Jericho Rosales said that he's happy to be the new male lead in the upcoming film Walang Forever, after JM de Guzman was recently dropped from the project.
In an interview with ABS-CBN, Jericho said for as long as he feels good about the project, he's up for it.
"I really don't mind kung second choice or third choice ako. As long as the project is fit para sakin (for me) and I know that I can do a good job in playing a role,” he said.
He also said he was not aware why JM did not push through with the project.
"I know that JM is very busy with his soap. Ako rin ganon ang buhay ko kapag may soap ako. Hindi ako nakakatanggap ng pelikula kasi mahirap talaga,” Jericho said.
(Me too, my life is like that when I'm on a soap. I'm unable to take on film roles because it gets really hectic.)
Jericho also shared that he already met Jennylyn Mercado. He had nothing but good things to say about her and said that he was looking forward to working with her. Lawyer Joji Alonso posted a photo of their meeting.
“Medyo light lang while having fun. Super happy ako sa project na binigay sa akin. Hopefully maganda 'yung kalabasan. But it's for MMFF so maganda naman 'yan," Jericho said.
(It's all light, having fun. I'm very happy with the project given to me. Hopefully it will come out great. But it's for the MMFF [Metro Manila Film Festival], so that's nice.)
Before news of this development in the film's casting, JM was in the headlines after he issued a challenge to Enrique Gil, asking Enrique to engage him in a mixed martial arts fight. Enrique previously apologized for drinking too much and disrespecting JM's girlfriend Jessy Mendiola during a flight to London for an ASAP 20 show. JM's Instagram post has since been deleted.
